Greek IPTV M3U playlist
What the M3U link is, why the free lists people share keep going blank, and how to use yours.

In short
An M3U playlist is a link your IPTV app reads to show the channel list. With a Greece IPTV plan or test you get both a personal M3U link and Xtream Codes details. Use Xtream Codes in apps that support it (better guide and catch-up) and the M3U link in apps that only accept a playlist.
Free Greek M3U lists vs a maintained playlist
| Free list (GitHub, forums) | Your Greece IPTV playlist | |
|---|---|---|
| Big private channels | Rarely | Yes |
| Greek football channels | Almost never | When carried in the line-up |
| Programme guide (EPG) | No | Yes |
| When a link breaks | Nobody fixes it | Updated on our side, same link for you |
| Help when it fails | None | Chat support |
Public lists are not "bad", they are just unmaintained: a stream address changes, the list goes stale, and the person who posted it has moved on. That is why searches for "greek iptv m3u github" are so common and so frustrating.
Which format your app wants
- TiviMate, IPTV Smarters Pro, XCIPTV, IBO Player: choose Xtream Codes login and type the server, username and password.
- VLC, Kodi (PVR IPTV Simple Client), Smart IPTV, SS IPTV: paste the M3U link.
- GSE Smart IPTV: either works; Xtream gives the guide.

Questions
About M3U playlists
What is a Greek IPTV M3U playlist?
A text file or web link that lists Greek channel streams. An IPTV app reads it and shows the channels in a list, usually with logos and groups.
Why do free Greek M3U lists from GitHub stop working?
They collect public links that change or get blocked, nobody maintains them for you, and they rarely carry the big private channels or sport. They work for a day, then go blank.
M3U or Xtream Codes: which should I use?
Xtream Codes (server, username, password) when your app supports it: it loads faster and brings the programme guide and catch-up. Use the M3U link only in apps that ask for one, such as VLC or Smart IPTV.
Can I load the playlist in VLC?
Yes. In VLC choose Media, Open Network Stream, and paste the M3U link. VLC has no programme guide, so it is best for a quick check on a computer.
